Change 4 Life Partner
As a social enterprise, Real Baby Milk continually strives to meet it's clearly defined social aims. One of our priority aims is to "Reach more women with breastfeeding information and easy access to breastfeeding support". In the last six months, Real Baby Milk has worked to meet this aim in various ways and we're delighted to bring you the update below -
National website.
We launched our national website in January following a grant from Business Link. We are now in the process of getting the site listed on local childrens directories and other related websites. Recently registered as a National Change4Life partner, Real Baby Milk is launching a National Press Campaign through May and is already seeing a steady increase in the numbers of women accessing the website. If you would like to link to our site please let us know and we will where possible exchange links.
Social Networking.
Real Baby Milk is trying to promote the website and reach younger target audiences thorugh using social networking sites such as Twitter and facebook. "These forums give us exposure to younger women who traditionally have the lowest breastfeeding rates, thorugh twitter alone we have added new groups to the site and received messages about breastfeeidng activities across the UK" says Arwen Folkes of Real Baby Milk, "By using social marketing of breastfeeding, we hope to reach more women and encourage them to get information from our website, access the excellent work of breastfeeding organisations and locate breastfeeding support in their area which will all help with successful breastfeeding"

Launching Local Pages
Real Baby Milk has been working with Health Professionals and giving them access to make Real Baby Milk local to their area. In Cornwall and Plymouth a printed guide goes out to all women who have a baby. For other areas, Real Baby Milk is
delighted to be launching six local pages over the next fortnight. Dorset, Wiltshire, Salisbury, Tiverton, Plymouth and Cornwall are all launching local areas on the Real Baby Milk website. These local pages will then be promoted locally enabling women to access local information and make use of all the information available on the website.
