rbm093lilacReal Baby Milk has developed a unique, comprehensive and highly effective booklet for breastfeeding women and health professionals. The "Essential Guide to Breastfeeding" has been developed over the last four years after listening to parents and health professionals as to what would help them most of all.

The guide has been in use in Cornwall for four years during which time initiation rates have risen by 11% and Cornwall has achieved UNICEF UK Baby-Friendly Status Stage 1 for both the community and hospital! We are delighted to have played a part in this and wish to share our "Best Practice" for other areas to make use of.

The Real Baby Milk Essential Guides, can be tailor made for each area that they cover and list local information such as the local Breastfeeding Policy, local support groups, on call midwives, local breastfeeding businesses. This local information makes them very attractive to mums and health professionals.

The Essential Guide also includes some or even all of the following information pages:
- Safe sleeping
- Why Breastfeed?
- Getting off to a Good Start
- Making Milk - what happens when?
-Breastfeeding Positions - inc: Cradle Holds / Underarm / Lying Down & the "Laid Back Approach" (aka Bio Nurt) (pics)
- Eating for Breastfeeding
